Work truck industry's best networking, education and spec'ing opportunity returns to Indianapolis next week
North America's largest work truck event, The Work Truck Show, is March 5-8
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Feb. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Fleet managers, have you registered for The Work Truck Show® 2019 in Indianapolis? North America's largest work truck event will be at Indiana Convention Center next week — so you won't have to go far to get the latest information on improving fleet productivity, exchange best practices with counterparts from around the country and compare trucks and equipment from leading manufacturers.
The Work Truck Show runs March 5–8 (exhibit hall is open March 6–8), kicking off with a full day of education and networking on Tuesday, March 5. Fleet managers can learn about clean vehicle solutions and test-drive or ride in the latest trucks at the popular Ride-and-Drive on Wednesday and Thursday. There will also be networking opportunities, including the opening reception Tuesday evening at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Green Truck Summit and Fleet Technical Congress
Fleet Technical Congress and Green Truck Summit will run concurrently all day on March 5, allowing registrants to switch back and forth between conference sessions.
Green Truck Summit is an annual alternative fuels and advanced technology conference that addresses key vocational fleet issues. Carlton Rose, president, global fleet maintenance and engineering for United Parcel Service (UPS), will deliver the keynote address.
Fleet Technical Congress addresses topics affecting the work truck fleet community. W. Craig Fugate, former Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) administrator, delivers the keynote address.
New products and chassis updates
The Work Truck Show is the best place to find new work trucks and equipment. A record 16 commercial vehicle manufacturers are exhibiting, with 15 of them also providing chassis update sessions offering insights into their future commercial vehicle plans. More than 100 companies have already announced plans to introduce new work trucks and equipment at the Show. The exhibit hall featuring 500 exhibitors is open March 6–8.
Purdue Road School and LTAP
One registration gives attendees access to a select number of Purdue Road School classes and the LTAP Fleet Educational Program: The Blizzard of 2039 on Thursday, March 7. In the morning, registrants can attend Purdue Road School sessions addressing Indiana statutes and ethics for professional engineers and surveyors. Or, they can go to the LTAP session where they will learn how the introduction of electronic controls and global positioning systems have changed winter maintenance equipment and operations over the last 20 years.
All registrants may attend the Purdue Road School session from 1–3 p.m. to learn about the benefits of driver-assisted truck platooning.
These sessions are expected to reach capacity, so pre-registration is encouraged.
