KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Explore Industries, the world's leading manufacturer of fiberglass swimming pools, today announced the opening of its first West Coast ExploreBase in Bakersfield, California. The facility began operations on September 1, 2026.

Representing one of the company's most significant investments in regional dealer support, ExploreBase California is designed to support and grow Explore Industries' dealer network throughout the western United States by bringing inventory, logistics, training and customer support closer to the markets dealers serve.

The new ExploreBase will primarily support dealers across California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon and Washington. By positioning inventory closer to these markets, Explore Industries will help dealers reduce transportation costs, improve product availability and shorten installation timelines for homeowners.

Situated on 2 acres with approximately 90,000 square feet of operational space, the facility provides the capacity to maintain a substantial regional inventory and respond quickly to dealer demand.

ExploreBase California will initially focus on stocking Explore Industries' most popular rectangular pool models. Rectangular designs account for approximately 70 percent of pool sales and align closely with the preferences and needs of West Coast homeowners.

In addition to serving as a regional inventory and logistics hub, the ExploreBase will include dedicated dealer training space, reinforcing Explore Industries' commitment to ongoing education, operational excellence and dealer success.

The California operation will be led by General Manager Aaron Altamirano, who brings a wealth of operational and industry experience to the role. Altamirano will oversee regional sales support, logistics, inventory management and dealer service, providing West Coast dealers with a dedicated local resource.
