The debut featured an afternoon flight in partnership with the Digital Place Based Advertising Association (DPAA) during its annual Global Video Everywhere Summit, followed by an evening flight showcasing content from media mogul Byron Allen's Allen Media Group as part of a newly secured partnership.
The afternoon flight took place between 1:00 PM and 1:45 PM ET, coinciding with the Summit's lunch break. Launching from Newport Helistop in New Jersey, HELI-D flew along the Hudson River toward Chelsea Piers, where Summit attendees and New Yorkers had an opportunity to see the massive digital screen in action. The aircraft then headed south toward the Statue of Liberty, bringing the display to one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.
HELI-D returned to the skies later that evening for a second flight featuring content from Byron Allen's Allen Media Group. The new agreement marks a significant step in HELI-D's entry into the U.S. advertising market, bringing together its aerial digital display technology and one of the country's prominent media entrepreneurs.
Unlike traditional billboards fixed to buildings or roadside structures, HELI-D's technology takes digital out-of-home advertising into the sky, creating a mobile, large-scale display capable of bringing brand messages directly to high-visibility locations, major events and large audiences.
