WORX Invites New Facebook Fans to Help Plant 30,000 Trees in 30 Days

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- WORX(R) has a great proposition for folks who want to do something positive for the environment. How about planting a tree for free with just the click of a mouse?

WORX has announced its innovative Facebook Fan 30,000-Trees-in-30-Days campaign to celebrate Arbor Day, April 30, 2010, as well as the launch of its new customer-service-driven Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/worxyardtools). For the first 30,000 persons who become WORX Facebook Fans by April 30th, the company will make a donation to the Arbor Day Foundation to have a tree planted in their honor. Each tree will be planted in one of our nation's forests.

What can one tree do? One tree can absorb more than a ton of carbon over its lifetime. A full-grown tree can lift as much as 100 gallons of water out of the ground and into the air in one day.
