Wounded Vet Receives New Home Thanks to Hart Energy

HOUSTON, Oct. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Hart Energy partnered with the Boot Campaign, the Military Warriors Support Foundation, and Valero Texas Open to present a custom home to a U.S. Army veteran and his family. The formal presentation was made October 15 in front of more than 2,500 luncheon attendees at Hart Energy's 3rd annual DUG Eagle Ford conference at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio.

All funds for the donated home were raised at the DUG 2012 Golf Invitational held at The Resort Course at La Cantera on October 14. Now in its second year, the DUG tournament drew 100-plus golfers.

The donated home was just the beginning. Three Hart Energy customers — Newpark Drilling Fluids, Superior Energy Services, Inc., and Waste Management, Inc. — each donated a $5,000 gift card to help the family furnish its new home, which is located in Missouri City, Tex.
