Community impact initiatives now in ninth year

Celebrating nine years of partnership, WOW! is bringing together students, educators and families through back-to-school initiatives, educator recognition and interactive family experiences across the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA).

This year's partnership centered on creating opportunities for the community to come together both on and off the field.

Teacher of the Month
The longstanding Teacher of the Month program honored four local educators throughout the season during GreenJackets home games. Each monthly honoree, nominated by peers, parents and students, received on-field recognition, a custom WOW!-branded award, game tickets for family and friends, and recognition across the team's website and social media channels in celebration of their lasting impact in the classroom.

Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive
The annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive returned in partnership with the Augusta GreenJackets, SRP Federal Credit Union, and United Way of the CSRA. This year's campaign collected hundreds of school supplies for local students, helping ensure classrooms across the CSRA are equipped for the upcoming school year.

Family Programming
New family programming, including Dinosaur Day activities and a pre-game catch on the field, transformed the annual Stuff the Bus collection effort into a community celebration. The partnership also introduced Kids Day at SRP Park, providing affordable family entertainment.
