WRGL to Acquire Advanced Career Education Services (ACES)
ACES to Provide Low Cost, High Quality, On-line and Off-line High School Education across the United States
MIAMI, April 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Warrior Girl Corp (Pink Sheets: WRGL) is pleased to announce it will be acquiring Advanced Career Education Services (ACES).
ACES is a new entrant in the high-growth sector of on-line education services for basic diplomas and degrees. One of ACES' goals is to combat the high dropout rate from schools in the U.S. Without a basic high school degree, millions of Americans cannot improve their lives or gain employment. ACES will offer the educational services of a fully licensed U.S. high school and also provide a fast track program for people that have successfully completed a good portion of their high school education yet have fallen short of receiving their high school diploma. In addition, it will offer a full four year course condensed to two years, for people who desire the full learning of a complete high school curriculum.
Dropping out of high school can be related to a number of causes, however completing a high school diploma has never been more critical. High school diplomas provide greater job opportunities and wage income potential. The average annual income of persons 18 through 65 who have not completed high school is roughly $20,100. By comparison, the average income of persons ages 18 through 65 who completed their education with a high school credential, including a General Educational Development (GED) certificate was nearly $29,700 (U.S. Census Bureau, 2006). Dropouts are less likely to be in the labor force than those with a high school credential or higher. They are also more likely to be unemployed if they are in the labor force (U.S. Department of Labor, 2006). In terms of health, dropouts older than age 24 tend to report being in worse health than adults who are not dropouts, regardless of income (U.S. Department of Education, 2004). Dropouts also make up disproportionately higher percentages of the nation's prison and death row inmates (Estimated from U.S. Department of Commerce, Census Bureau, Current Population Survey CPS, and U.S. Department of Justice data).
There are millions of Americans without a high school diploma. Dropout rates in some areas are over 50 percent. Many of these dropouts are trying to find a job, or don't want to go back to a traditional high school because they are not teenagers and would feel out of place. Many do not want the stigma of acquiring a GED. ACES provides the perfect solution for them. They can study at home privately and obtain a "real" high school diploma upon completion.
Upon graduation, ACES high school graduates will be able to qualify for employment at jobs previously unavailable to them and also be able to attend ACES vocational courses, further amplifying their employment potential.
ACES will offer its proprietary high school education online and offline. The company will strive to always keep costs low, quality high, while offering assistance to students through completion of each course.
