By providing the best support to their military employees Wyle's Integrated Science and Engineering Group has been nominated by the Texas organization for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve for the national Secretary of Defense Employer Support Award, according to Stoa.
The Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award is the highest recognition given by the U.S. Government to employers for their support of their employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. Nominations must come from a guard or reserve member who is employed by the organization they are nominating, or from a family member.
Additionally, Steve Vander Ark, a Wyle manager in Houston, received a Patriot award from the committee for his outstanding support and cooperation to the needs of reserves employed at the company.
"Wyle's employer supported outreach programs continuously support the Guard and Reserve troops by sending care packages, providing differential pay during military training events and mobilization, and recognizing our many employees who are Vets on Veterans Day," said Captain Adrien Adams, an Air National Guardsman employed by Wyle.
As the 1.3 million members of the National Guard and Reserve continue to perform an increasing number of unique missions with America's borders and beyond, the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Texas Committee will continue to be the resource for the employers of citizen warriors.
