XCMG Cup Green Innovation Design Competition Focusing on Clean Environmental Technologies
XUZHOU, China, June 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- XCMG's green innovation design competition (XCMG Cup), launched by leading construction and mining equipment manufacturer XCMG, officially got underway on June 8 with the launch of its English language website: www.en.xcmg-cloud.com/
Students and creative talents from around the world are welcomed to apply and submit their designs for the competition in the fields of environmental cleaning equipment design, namely equipment and solutions for road cleaning, solid waste treatment and environmental control.
One of XCMG's 14 precisely positioned global public welfare projects, the XCMG Cup will focus on green and environmental technologies and discovering emerging talents to push forward upgrading of the industry.
Commenting on the new initiative, Liu Xianfang from XCMG Research Institute said, "The XCMG Cup is looking at the possibility of mirroring the technology crowdsourcing model that motivates reverse thinking and brainstorms new ideas to make the impossible possible. We would like to invite international participants to light the path to future development through the most advanced and innovative manufacturing techniques."
The competition's theme of 'changing the world with the cloud' also echoes XCMG's recent major joint project, XCMG-Cloud, in collaboration with Alibaba Cloud. XCMG-Cloud is an unprecedented industrial data and information hub that will host and share massive data in the Industry 4.0 revolution, merging internet, cloud computing technology and manufacturing to present new opportunities.

"There's no boundary when solving industry bottlenecks with an open mind and as a team, and the competition is a foundation for XCMG to construct a groundbreaking cloud platform."
Online registration for the XCMG Cup runs through August 15, with designers able to submit their works between July 15 and August 15. The expert jury panel will review all entries and select participants to enter the final competition, which will be hosted at XCMG's headquarters from October 13-15.
