XCMG Opens First Retail Store, Service Center in Canada

EDMONTON, Canada, June 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- XCMG, the multinational heavy machinery manufacturing company, has opened its first retail store and service center in Edmonton, Canada where it will offer local sales, spare part, service and customer service support for the company's world-class construction machinery products.

Set up in a key market in North America, the new XCMG complex covers an area of 14,500 square meters (3.58 acres) and operates eight maintenance shops, including two machining workshops, five repair shops and one cleaning shop that can provide repair, inspection and maintenance services for 10 machinery equipment at the same time. The facility also has warehouses for machinery products and spare parts as well as offices.

More than 300 clients from local government and the construction, mining, rental and infrastructure industries attended the service center's grand opening in Edmonton that showcased XCMG's latest products. Some clients placed intentional orders worth more than 15 million yuan (US$ 2.188 million) on site.

XCMG began selling excavators in Canada in 2015, and since then the company's advanced technologies and reliable performance have gained recognition among clients as well as winning orders from the local government.

"We purchased two XCMG excavators in 2016 and over six months of service there were zero problems or failures, so we decided to order two more right away," said local government.

The new XCMG complex in Edmonton has further improved the company's network in North America with a new ability to guarantee an ample supply of spare parts, boosting local clients' confidence in XCMG products and after-sale service.
