Xiamen Marathon Expo Expects to Attract 45,000 Visitors for Abundant Events Centralizing on Charity

XIAMEN, China, Jan. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- As a supporting activity of 2015 C&D Xiamen International Marathon, the Xiamen Marathon Expo will be on the run from December 31, 2014 to January 2, 2015 at Xiamen Sports Center. This 3-day expo will accommodate 6 exhibition stands for public benefit. A main venue, a grand stage and booths for public benefit will be set up on scene. There will be 13 event sponsors and exhibitors, including 6 exhibitors at special design stands. Meanwhile, the Marathon Expo also attracts 9 well-known marathon events from home and abroad including Athens Marathon, Mandela Day Marathon, Lanzhou Marathon and Kunming Marathon, etc. 45,000 visitors will be present at the site of Expo.

Officially unveiled at 10:00 AM December 31, Xiamen Marathon Expo features activities including distribution of event articles, publicity of charity, charity performances, sponsors' activities and exhibitions. Race outfit will be distributed at 9:00-11:30 AM and 2:30-5:00 PM everyday from December 31, 2014 to January 2, 2015. Articles for full-Marathon players include a white number book (start with M for men and F for women), pins, chips, racing suits (rose red), a bag, a racing guide and a map; articles for half-Marathon players include a red number book, pins, a certificate of achievement, souvenir medals, racing suits (yellow), a racing guide, a map and a bag. A Player shall collect the competition articles by showing the original and copy (a copy with both sides photocopied) of his/her own ID card and it is not allowed to collect articles on behalf of others.

A "main venue for charity" will be set up in the stadium of Xiamen Sports Center where a grand stage will be set at the center for a dozen original, innovative, public-minded and love-caring performances. Meanwhile, booths and stands will be established for Free Lunch For Children Fund, Good Seed Charity Fund, the Million Forest Project of China Green Foundation, One Heart Charity, Rong Ai Rong Le Family Support Center, Haotu Micro-Charity and other charity organizations to host charity project exhibitions, article distributions and other interesting interactions. The love-caring activity "Children's Painting on Hundred-Meter Long Paper" will also be exhibited on scene. During the three days of Marathon Expo, a series of performances will be given on the Charity Stage, including songs of Spring of the North, Little Poplar presented by the children from Rong Ai Rong Le Family Support Center, the Southern Fujian Dialect performance and children English song medley presented by the young performers from Haotu Micro-Charity, as well as the singing and dactylology performances presented by One Heart Charity.
