XL Catlin Expands Marine Talent with Appointments In Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas and New York
NEW YORK, June 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- XL Catlin's Marine business in the Americas is building up its marine field expertise, adding six new underwriting specialists in Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas and New York.
According to Anne Marie Elder, SVP and Chief Underwriting Officer, XL Catlin's Americas Marine Business, "With these appointments, we're putting additional inland marine underwriting expertise out in our key markets and in closer proximity to our clients. This gives brokers and businesses direct access to local underwriting expertise and our top notch proprietary inland marine products; they can also tap into our global insurance network as they need it."

XL Catlin's newest inland marine underwriters include:
- In Chicago: Janelle Levesque joins XL Catlin as a Senior Marine Underwriter and will be responsible for inland marine business in the Midwest region which includes Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky and Missouri. She previously held underwriting positions with ACE (Chubb).
- In San Francisco: Frank Basich arrives at XL Catlin from Allianz Global Corporate, where he was inland marine team leader. As the most senior member of the local XL Catlin marine underwriting team, he is responsible for inland marine business in the western states, exercising his 25-plus years of experience underwriting many commercial lines of insurance. Anda Serban also joins XL Catlin's San Francisco Office from CNA where she was an Inland Marine Underwriting Specialist. She'll apply her strong technical background into her new Senior Marine Underwriter role at XL Catlin, servicing clients and brokers in the Western region. Additionally, Zac Miyashiro joins XL Catlin as a Senior Ocean Marine underwriter from Chubb, where he managed complex, multinational marine accounts throughout the Western states.
- In Dallas: With 13 years of industry experience, Shawn Langenegger joins from Allianz Global Corporate where he was inland marine team leader overseeing New Orleans, Houston and the Dallas territories. He'll assume underwriting management of the same region at XL Catlin.
- In New York: Paul Vogler arrives at XL Catlin from The Hartford where he was an Executive Underwriter. Paul brings seven years experience and will be based out of XL Catlin's Summit, NJ office. He will be responsible for driving inland marine growth through the entire Northeast Region of the country.
