DK Pittsburgh Sports celebrated the three-year anniversary of its launch this summer, and the multi-media interactive site also covers the Pirates in Major League Baseball, the Riverhounds of the United Soccer League and Pitt, Duquesne and Penn State in collegiate sports. Penn State, just three hours away by car, has its share of fans there, and fans all over the country.

The initial connection with DK came as a loyal subscriber because of his love for the Steelers, and Skillings was so impressed with the coverage he found there that it eventually led to a business connection. He said it struck him that wherever he goes, including among business clients and social acquaintances in New Jersey and the New York Metropolitan Area, there always seem to be devoted Steelers fans.
