YouAppi Expands Globally and Doubles Revenue Growth

LONDON and BERLIN, July 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- YouAppi, a pioneer in data-driven mobile customer acquisition, today announced the opening of offices in London and Berlin to support a growing customer base of category-leading marketers for the company's OneRun Platform. YouAppi is also reporting rapid growth in revenue with a 20% growth in 1Q 2015 (over 4Q 2014) and 50-60% in 2Q 2015 (quarter over quarter).

The London office will be led by Javier Plana, Director Business Development, who joined YouAppi from M&C Saatchi Mobile where he served as Associate Director. Prior to joining M&C Saatchi, Javier worked in account and client services at Mobext, a mobile agency, which is part of the Havas Media Group. Javier will lead a team responsible for new business development and customer support in the UK and western European markets.

Maintaining a local market presence in as many major markets is important for YouAppi because despite common languages or the European Union, app usage habits are different in each market. For example, app download data from YouAppi campaigns shows that while Americans love shopping apps – with shopping the #2 app category among iOS and Android users – English speakers on the other side of the Atlantic prefer Travel apps – the #2 category in the UK. Shopping is the #5 category in the UK and Travel didn't even crack the top 5 in the USA. Games are the top app category in both the UK and the USA.

According to app download data from YouAppi campaigns, language and culture clearly play a factor in app usage because the leading German app categories are quite different from both the UK and the USA. Germans prefer Lifestyle and Utility apps – two categories that comprised 56% of the apps Germans download (while these two categories together represent less than 10% of app downloads in the UK or the USA).

YouAppi's Berlin office will be led by Yael Kahn, Head of Business Development, who is joining YouAppi from TestObject where she served as Global Account Manager. Before joining TestObject, Yael worked at Hewlett Packard in Sales and Business Development. Yael will lead a group that will handle business development and customer services in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
