100 Hooters Pageant Contestants Will Package 20,000 Meals for Haiti
HOLLYWOOD, Fla., July 5 /PRNewswire/ -- 100 Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant Contestants will be packing 20,000 ready to eat meals in two hours on Monday, July 5th at the Westin Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood, Florida. The meals packaged by the Hooters Girls will go to malnourished children in Haiti. "It makes sense for a restaurant company to be involved in the noble goal of ending world hunger, and the fact that 100 Hooters Girls will be able to create 20,000 meals in just a few hours is a testament to the ingenuity and efficiency of this fine Organization."
Earlier this year, in response to the overwhelming need for assistance in Haiti, Hooters launched a charity campaign known as Hooters 4 Haiti to benefit a hunger relief organization called Stop Hunger Now. During the 4th quarter of Super Bowl XLIV, all Hooters sales including dine-in, to-go, and online ordering were donated to Stop Hunger Now for Haiti Relief Efforts. During the 46 minutes of this year's 4th Quarter of the Super Bowl, Hooters raised and donated $103,731.00 to hunger relief in Haiti.
