100% Pure Co-Founder and CEO, Ric Kostick, along with Co-Founder and CCO Susie Wang, were selected as one of five finalists, from over 500 entries, to "pitch their concept" to businessman and Shark Tank star, Mark Cuban, and Co-Founder and CEO of Paul Mitchell Systems, John Paul DeJoria. A panel of four elite judges, including Melissa Goldstein, Beauty & Lifestyle Director for Martha Stewart Living and INC.com Associate, Neil Parmar picked 100% Pure as the grand prize winner of Beauty Pitch 2015. The award includes a one-year mentorship with Mark Cuban, $10,000 from TSG Consumer Partners and a partnership from CircleUp.
The focus of Ric and Susie's winning presentation was the brand's patented fruit pigment technology- the use of natural fruit pigments in lieu of chemicals to add color to products. Susie stained the back of her hand with a blackberry demonstrating the power of natural fruit pigmentation and how ingredients found in everyday fruits are utilized in all 100% Pure products.
