SALT LAKE CITY, March 1, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- For the 14th consecutive year, Alan Shawn Feinstein will divide $1 million among hunger-fighting agencies nationwide, using it to help them raise funds this March and April.
Feinstein's past annual spring $1 million challenges to fight hunger have raised over $1 billion for over 2000 agencies and houses of worship nationwide helping the needy.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for the Salt Lake Community to partner with The Salt Lake City Mission in making this campaign a success in fighting hunger - right here - in our own community," said Rev. Wayne Wilson, Executive Director of The Salt Lake City Mission. "This is something we can get excited about - and challenge everyone to consider matching gifts!"
The million dollars will be divided proportionately among all agencies complying with Foundation Guidelines. The Salt Lake City Mission has successfully participated in this event for the past 13 years!
