MINT HILL, N.C., Dec. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Keith Paris of Paris Projects, Ltd., and developer of Cheval, announced today the results of the first annual fundraiser hosted at Cheval to benefit a charity. It was a huge success with 889 toys and over $1000 in cash raised for Toys for Tots. Spearheaded by Broker Diane Austin of Builder + Developer Advisors, Inc., the fundraiser was centered around a Holiday Homes Tour at Cheval in which visitors brought unwrapped toys or made a cash donation to tour six fully furnished model homes. "This has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. I am so proud of Cheval and all who helped to make this event possible," said Austin.
Matt Ewers of Grandfather Homes, a former U.S. Marine Corps Corporal, arranged for a military transport truck and a huge Santa to be located at the entrance of the community during the fundraiser. David Wyatt, a retired U.S. Marine Corps Lance Corporal, accepted the toys and donations on behalf of the Marines Toys for Tots Foundation of Mecklenburg County.
