$20,000 Luxury Living Room Giveaway

BATON ROUGE, La., Aug. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Residents in The Advocate, The New Orleans Advocate and The Acadiana Advocate's distribution area who need or want a luxury living room makeover by an award-winning decorator can enter a contest that might make his or her dream come true.

Jeanette Turk of Decorating Den Interiors, one of the most trusted names in North America, and The Advocate, south Louisiana's premier source for print and digital news and content, are giving away a living room makeover valued at $20,000.

The Grand Prize includes complete design services including floor and space planning, paint selection, color scheme design, product selection, installation and placement. It also includes home furnishings, such as sofas, recliners, arm chairs, end and coffee tables, lamps, rugs, wall art and accessories. Product selection will be determined by the client's priorities as well as design requirements of the room.

The contest is open to people 18 years and older who reside in one of the following parishes: East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Iberville, Ascension, Livingston, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Charles, Jefferson, Orleans, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Pointe Coupee, West Feliciana, East Feliciana, Lafayette, St. Martin or St. Landry.

People can register at www.theadvocate.com/contests by providing basic contact information, including name, phone number, email address and ZIP code. Entrants must upload a photograph of the living room he or she wants to decorate with a brief description of why he or she wants to redecorate the space.

Six finalists will be chosen based on the transformation potential of the space by Turk and her team. The six finalists will be interviewed in their space by Turk, who will select the Grand Prize Winner. The winner will be announced on September 4, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. during Decorating Den Interiors Grand Opening for its new, state-of-the-art design studio and resource room at 12135 Industriplex Blvd., Suite B, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.
