2006 GOP Insurance Commissioner Nominee Bill Case Endorses John Doak
TULSA, Okla., Aug. 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, Bill Case announced he is supporting John Doak for State Insurance Commissioner.
In 2006, Case earned more votes than any other statewide candidate running in the GOP Primary with 125,485 votes. Despite being decidedly outspent (nearly four to one) by the Democratic appointee in the General Election, Case almost defeated incumbent Kim Holland (52 percent to 48 percent).
"I strongly believe John Doak is the most educated, experienced and prepared candidate running for State Insurance Commissioner," Case said. "I also believe John Doak will not only dispatch his GOP runoff opponent but defeat Kim Holland in November. We need more quality people like John to get involved in public policy and public service."
Case's endorsement comes on the heels of former Presidential Candidate and Governor Mike Huckabee's endorsement of John Doak in the GOP Runoff for State insurance Commissioner yesterday.
Since the primary election, Doak has received the endorsements of a number of highly respected Republican leaders including former U.S. Senator Don Nickles, Oklahoma Corporation Commissioners Dana Murphy and Jeff Cloud, and Senator Randy Brogdon.
"In November, the Republican party will need the best Republican candidate to face the current Insurance Commissioner, Kim Holland, who was a 2008 Oklahoma delegate for Barack Obama," Doak said. "I am honored by the support I have received for the Republican nomination."
