2016-17 School Year Enrollment Now Open for Nevada Virtual Academy

LAS VEGAS, March 21, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Enrollment in the tuition-free, online public school, Nevada Virtual Academy (NVVA), is now open. A public school choice, students attend school full-time online, using the engaging, award-winning K12 curriculum. Students who enroll in NVVA receive an individualized education experience designed to their learning style and needs.

Nevada Virtual Academy provides a blended program that combines online learning with face-to-face instruction. The school has brick-and-mortar school sites where students can meet and engage with a teacher in-person, in addition to the interaction virtually. Just last month, Las Vegas opened the Nevada Virtual Academy Blended Learning site. The other brick-and-mortar school site is located in Reno, Nevada.

Additionally, the Nevada Virtual Academy provides students with the opportunity to earn college credit while enrolled in NVVA. Its collaboration with Nevada System of Higher Education institutions allow juniors and seniors to earn college credit – up to an Associate Degree.

Students enroll in NVVA for a wide variety of reasons. Some are advanced learners, motivated to increase their knowledge beyond the basic course offerings, while others are athletes or performers looking to balance a full schedule, as well as those who benefit from a different learning environment and a focused one-on-one learning experience.
