2016 GIEF Chengdu International Innovation Space Successfully Ended

CHENGDU, China, July 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- On June 26th, the 2016 Chengdu Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair, themed "Creative leadership; win-win cooperation", has drawn to a conclusion. Over the three days, GIEF has attracted participants from 5 continents and 36 countries, including participants from the United States, Germany, Korea, Australia and Israel. The three-day exhibition attracted over 100,000 attendees, over seven times more than the first GIEF. It has witnessed more than 3,000 trading programs and its trading volume is expected to fulfill over RMB 16 billion (nearly US$2.461 billion). It also established the first government investment fund in Chengdu, "Chengdu-Qianhai Industry Investment Fund", with an initial scale of RMB 40 billion. The Debut of "International Innovation Space" Wowed the Audience

Compared to the first GIEF in 2015, the scale of the Fair this year was significantly expanded with a stronger emphasis on internationalism and representation. To constantly increase the sustainability, penetrability and international influence of the Fair, the "2016 Chengdu Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair (Exhibition)" first launched the "International Innovation Space".
