23rd Annual A Most Excellent Race to benefit the Achievement Centers' Camp Cheerful
HIGHLAND HILLS, Ohio, June 12, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The 23rd Annual A Most Excellent Race, presented by Majestic Steel USA and benefiting the Achievement Centers for Children's Camp Cheerful, will take place on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Beaumont School in Cleveland Heights. Offering a scenic, shaded course which progresses through a historic Cleveland Heights neighborhood, A Most Excellent Race is managed by Hermes Sports and Events. A Most Excellent Race is made possible through the generous support of the Presenting Sponsor, Majestic Steel USA, and Division Sponsors AssuraMed and the Brokaw ad agency.

Campers from Camp Cheerful will kick off the event at 8:30 a.m. with the crowd-favorite "Camp Cheerful Classic" -- a spirited short-distance race. At 9 a.m. runners, and walkers will start off in one of three divisions: 5K Run, 10K Run, and the 5K Family Fun Walk. Awards will be presented to winners in each run category, and to individuals and teams who generate the most financial support for Camp Cheerful. Fun family activities will contribute to the festivities and include a bounce house, Flower Clown, face painting, popular costumed characters, and more. A DJ along with appearances of on-air personalities from media sponsors, 107.3 the Wave and WEWS Newsnet 5 will add to the excitement.
Participants may pre-register for A Most Excellent Race for a reduced entry fee of $20 before June 19th or register on-site prior to the race from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. for $25. Entry fee includes snacks and refreshments, and race t-shirt, while supplies last.
