LOS ANGELES, Oct. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Foot Locker and Fred Jordan Missions will once again come together for what has become known as one of Southern California's most notable back-to-school giveaways, dedicated to providing children with the tools necessary to be successful in the classroom. Over the past 30 years, more than 100,000 underprivileged children have received new athletic shoes, clothes, backpacks, school supplies, haircuts and In-N-Out Burgers. This year's annual giveaway will be held at the Fred Jordan Missions, located at 445 Towne Avenue, on Thursday, Oct. 4, beginning at 9 a.m.

Children, students and families look forward to this special day all year long. More than 100 Foot Locker associates, dressed in their signature black-and-white striped uniforms, will personally fit each child with new athletic shoes. For many children, this will be their first pair of brand new shoes. Foot Locker associates will then escort each child to tables piled high with gifts of new clothing, backpacks, school supplies and hygiene kits. To top it all off, In-N-Out will bring their signature red and white food trucks to serve the children and their parents a delicious burger hot-off-the-grill, followed by a visit to Paul Mitchell's tent, where stylists will cut and style each child's hair.
