32nd Annual T.M.I. Vigil Dedicated to Victims of Japanese Disaster
WASHINGTON, March 22, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The annual vigil in remembrance of the disaster at Three Mile Island will be held as usual starting at 3:15 A.M. at the North Gate of Three Mile Island. This will be the 32nd vigil since the accident in 1979 when T.M.I. Unit #1's core melted down.
TIME: Start at 3:15 A.M.
DATE: March 28, 2011
PLACE: North gate of Three Mile Island, 2 miles south of Middletown, PA on route 441
DEDICATION: This year the vigil is dedicated to the victims of the disasters in Japan
BRING: Signs and a covered candle.
NEEDED: Large sign that reads: T.M.I., Chernobyl, Fukushima; Who is Next?
The accident at Three Mile Island Unit #1 started at approximately 3:53 A.M. A moment of silence will be observed at that time. People are invited to share their thoughts otherwise. Breakfast follows the vigil.
