DC-Area PR Professionals Encouraged to Submit Best Communications Campaigns
WASHINGTON, April 11, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Capital Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA-NCC) announces the call for entries for the 44th annual Thoth Awards. The awards are named after Thoth (pronounced "tot"), an Egyptian god of wisdom who was a mediator and scribe and is credited as the inventor of communications and writing. In the spirit of Thoth, PRSA-NCC honors the most outstanding and strategic public relations programs and components developed and produced in the greater Washington, D.C. area.
Achievements are recognized in 35 categories, including 16 program categories that celebrate the very best communications campaigns and 19 component categories that highlight top accomplishments in PR tactics. The Thoth Awards finalists will be honored at the Thoth Awards Gala occurring on Thursday, September 13 at the National Press Club from 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. This year's theme will be "Celebrating the Champions!"
