NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- 5 DAYS IN DENVER, the critically acclaimed, powerhouse documentary by director Todd Cassetty is now available for purchase on iTunes in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand.  The feature-length film explores the violent, systematic suppression of Constitutionally protected rights to free speech and assembly during the 2008 Democratic Convention that nominated Barack Obama for president.  5 DAYS IN DENVER recently won Best Documentary at Chicago's Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival and has been recognized and invited to show at major film festivals in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.

For five days in 2008, a group of American citizens, ranging in age from 21 to 71, took to the streets of Denver to protest outside the Democratic National Convention. Calling themselves "Re-create 68," the group drew upon the spirit of political participation and dissent that galvanized in the streets of Chicago during the 1968 Democratic Convention.  As in 1968, they were met with violent, extreme retaliation from police, including pepper spray, "freedom cages" and mass arrests.
