55-Year-Old Navy Veteran Takes On Challenge to Break Most Pull-Ups in 24 Hours
Rodney Hahn will attempt a world record of more than 7,000 pull-ups
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., May 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Rodney Hahn is out to set the Guinness World Record for pull-ups on Memorial Day Weekend. The event, sponsored by The Dump Furniture Outlet, will occur at their Chicagoland location (Lombard, IL) and will be simulcast live to all Dump locations nationwide, as well as livestreaming on YouTube and Facebook. Hahn plans to complete over 7,000 pull-ups from 3pm Sunday, May 29th till 3pm Monday, May 30th. Guinness World Record judge Michael Empric will be onsite.
A former Navy servicemember on the USS John F. Kennedy, Hahn received his degree in sports medicine from Old Dominion University, and he holds certifications from Titleist Performance Institute and the American College of Sports Medicine. Hahn is the Fitness Director at The Cavalier est. 1928, the leading golf & yacht club in Virginia Beach, VA. Hahn has been an innovator in physical training for 19 years and his dream is to become a competitor on American Ninja Warrior.

The Navy Seal Foundation will be the beneficiary of fundraising by The Dump and America's leading furniture manufacturers. During the event, The Dump hopes to receive donations at all of its locations. Any individual who donates will be eligible to win from $20,000 of hourly giveaways including Tempur-Pedic and Aireloom mattresses, Karastan rugs and Natuzzi leather sofas.
