(NYSE: WUBA) ("58.com" or the "Company"), China's largest online marketplace serving local merchants and consumers, today announced that Mr. Dong Yang has tendered his resignation as a director on the board of directors (the "Board") of 58.com effective May 25, 2016. Mr. Yang's resignation was not due to any disagreement with the Company regarding its business, finance, accounting and/or any other affairs.
The Board has appointed Mr. Chi (Eric) Zhang, an existing independent director of the Company, as a member of the audit committee of the Board and the chairman of the compensation committee of the Board to replace Mr. Dong Yang, also effective May 25, 2016.
