87ft Pink Bra Auctioned on eBay for Breast Cancer Charity

It was announced today that event agency Chillisauce.co.uk  will be auctioning the Worlds Biggest Bra on eBay in aid of Breast Cancer Campaigns Wear It Pink Day 2012.

The bra itself was modelled on a real hot pink, 34 B t-shirt bra that has been transformed in to a mega 1360 B. In length the bra is just short of two tennis courts and weighs the equivalent of 1800 bras.

Our aim in auctioning the bra is to build awareness and involvement in Wear It Pink Day as well as raise money for Breast Cancer Campaign in the process."

Chilisauce.co.uk hope to raise over £1000 for the Breat Cancer Campaign as a result of bids on the bra. The starting bid is set at £500 on the auction only item. The purchase cost will also include the Guinness World Record official certificate.

A total of 270m of material bra  achieved the new Guinness World Records' World's Largest Bra. in October 2011 when it was suspended from the ITV Tower in London, for wear it pink day last 2011.

The World largest bra weighs in at 70kg of material only and 90kg with fixing and clips which are identical to the bra it was modelled on. It is  fashioned from a lightweight spinnaker sail Nylon, taking one man four weeks to complete. Responsible for the design and build of the bra was family run  M.Putt Sailmakers, London.

Bidding will begin at 6pm Thursday 18th October and last for ten days ahead of  ahead of wear it pink day, 28th October.
