911 ETC Relaunches RedConnect Solution
RedConnect(TM) Makes a Full-Service E911 Implementation Affordable for Small Businesses and Schools Needing to Comply with Legislation
EVERETT, Wash., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- 911 ETC, a proven industry leader in the E911 market for the enterprise, announced today its relaunch of RedConnect™, providing small businesses and schools with an affordable, full-service E911 implementation. Utilizing traditional Telco emergency routing, RedConnect™ introduces a cost-effective means to deliver the location of the emergency event to local authorities even when the end-user is employing a VoIP based PBX (phone system).
RedConnect™ provides a hosted solution for the small to medium business market and public and private K-12 schools, community colleges, and smaller universities that in the past found it cost-prohibitive to employ E911. The lack of accurate location information attached to an outgoing 911 call is an identified safety concern, with the responsibility and liability placed solely upon the multi-line telephone system owner. RedConnect™ offers an affordable solution, full-service implementation, and a truly hosted model with ongoing E911 maintenance taken care of by 911 ETC. The solution is compatible with a PBX, VoIP, or hybrid environment.
RedConnect™ was implemented in 2009 for several schools, cities, and small businesses, including Charles Wright Academy, a private K-12 school located in the state of Washington. RedConnect™ fully integrates with the academy's new Avaya PBX site administration. 911 ETC facilitated each aspect of the E911 implementation including PS/ALI access, formatting, data processing, and upload to the 911 database, and now provides ongoing monthly maintenance to ensure accuracy of the E911 data.
"Ours was a legacy phone system which had been managed by several people over the years, so our data was a complete mess. 911 ETC made the process of going from nothing to a full E911 implementation about as easy as it could be," Lauren McMason, Charles Wright Academy
