A. M. Castle & Co. Announces Ratification of New Four-Year Contract With United Steel Workers
FRANKLIN PARK, Ill. Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- A. M. Castle & Co. (NYSE: CAS), a global distributor of specialty metal and plastic products, value-added services and supply chain solutions, announced today that a new four-year contract covering 225 employees at three Company locations in the United States has been ratified by members of the United Steel Workers (USW). The new agreement was approved by a majority of union members in local votes taken on October 17, 2010. The previous contract expired September 30, 2010 and union members continued to work without a contract until ratification was achieved. The new contract will expire September 30, 2014.
