A Michigan Awakening; Dealers and Consumers See Buick and GMC Rise Above in Latest Brand Report Card
Recently, an Independent Trusted Authority released their newest brand report card and Buick GMC are the top domestic brands.
DETROIT, March 31, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Every year an Independent Trusted Authority compiles and releases brand report cards for the many automakers, reporting on the average road-test score and predicted reliability across the model lineup. The overall scores show which automakers get it right in performance and reliability.
Detroit Buick GMC Association is proud to announce that Buick's improved reliability helped it take top honors among all domestic brands for the second year running.
"We are very excited to see that the Buick and GMC brands are being recognized by industry leading experts for reliability and performance. This is why we launched our Compare the Facts program," said Jeff Laethem, Association President. "When consumers do their research, they quickly learn that Buick and GMC are the best brands Michigan has to offer."
There are many points that are addressed within the report card, and the following are just a few about the Buick and GMC brands for 2015.
Buick outranked other luxury brands such as Acura, BMW, Infiniti, Mercedes, and Cadillac while its overall rankings passed brands known for reliability such as Honda. One specific Buick model was recognized in the report card, as the Buick Regal was named the Top Sports Sedan. What is more, Buick has the highest percentage of tested models that earned their recommendation at 83 percent. When compared to Ford's 19 percent, consumers can see the tremendous difference.
On the other side of the report cards, the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Fiat brands all scored near the bottom of this list, which is the result of poor reliability and a variety of new or redesigned models with low road-test scores.
