A. Schulman at NPE 2012: Focus on Performance for Industrial Fluid Management Applications

(Nasdaq-GS: SHLM), a leading global supplier of engineered plastics, masterbatches and specialty powders, will be featuring an array of products for fluid management systems featuring Schulamid®  Nylon 612 at NPE 2012 in Orlando, Florida, April 1-5 in the South Hall, Booth 15000.  Visitors will see how A. Schulman products, including Schulamid® Nylon 612, improve performance in fluid management applications.

The Company has launched Schulamid® 612 IC 4005W for industrial fluid management applications such as pneumatic tubing, protective cable jacketing, liquids transport, etc., for automation, materials handling and chemical processing.  The product can be extruded in smooth and corrugated mono-layer and multi-layer tubing constructions and provides:

• Burst pressure 10% higher than PA 12
• Heat resistance up to 20% higher than PA 12
• Excellent cold temperature impact strength
• Superior chemical and hydrolysis resistance
• High ductility and flexibility
• Stable high-speed extrudability without die build-up

Schulamid® 612 IC 4005W is available globally in natural, black or a variety of custom colors.  This product was developed in collaboration with A. Schulman's technical teams in Germany and the United States, and in close cooperation with several global Tier 1 fluid management systems providers.  A. Schulman's new state-of-the-art fluid systems tubing applications lab in Kerpen, Germany, will be able to provide customized tubing constructions for performance evaluation.
