
A Small Community with a Big Heart Raises Funds to Support the Israeli-Jewish-American Community in Los Angeles by "Connecting to our roots" at the Israeli Leadership Council's (ILC) 4th Annual Gala
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., March 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israeli Leadership Council (ILC) was joined by 900 Israeli-Jewish-Americans for truly memorable night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, honoring Meir Dagan, former Director of the Mossad, and awarding Ehud Danoch, former Consul General of Israel in Los Angeles. Also joined via live stream, keynote speaker Yair Lapid, Israeli news anchor and journalist via satellite. The talented actress, producer and activist, Noa Tishby, hosted the evening.
At the sold out evening's program Haim Saban, a significant contributor to the fundraising efforts said that the "ILC, a pristine organization that nurtures the next generation and prepares it for following the path of giving back, is why we [Cheryl and I] simply love this organization and its leaders."
The ILC is a rising phenomenon in the non-profit world. Especially in those times of crisis, the ILC's growth in fundraising and activities since its establishment 5 years ago is tremendous. Their model is a business model-like structure, that was adopted by leading businessmen that joined ventured for the well being of the entire community and established the ILC. The driving force behind the structure is the implementation of business ethics and leadership qualities, ultimately pushing matters in a business-like form for the better of the Israeli- Jewish-American community.

Upon accepting his award, Meir Dagan said about his visit to the Los Angeles community as "an unbelievable experience to be engaged with such a warm Israeli-Jewish American Community with such strong ties to Israel."
The ILC's mission is to create a united, engaged Israel-American community in order to strengthen the state of Israel and our next generation. All funds raised for and during the event will enable the ILC to maintain and develop its numerous programs and activities reaching out to 30,000 people this year.
