A Strategic Hire with a World of USAID Expertise

WASHINGTON, Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The QED Group, LLC, a leading international development firm specializing in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), Knowledge Management and Professional Services, recently hired Jeff Malick, to lead their M&E Practice. Mr. Malick is a seasoned professional with more than 30 years of development experience, most notably as an M&E practitioner. Mr. Malick has spent more than 20 of those years working in increasingly responsible roles for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Mr. Malick most recently served as Senior Program Officer with USAID's Africa Bureau. He helped lead the overall design and roll-out of an innovative interagency trade initiative and spent time preparing senior Agency officials to participate in the successful 2012 Africa Growth and Opportunity Act forum. Prior to that, he worked as General Development Officer for USAID/Pakistan, helping draft the Mission's stabilization strategy for the country's Federally Administered Tribal Areas. Other career highlights include sharing in the leadership and design of the knowledge management strategy for USAID in 2005 while at the Academy for Educational Development, structuring a country development strategy for USAID/Egypt in the early 1990s and being awarded the Superior Honor and Meritorious Honor awards by USAID.

Mr. Malick has an M.A. in international public policy from the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies and received his B.A. from Queens College in New York. He is proficient in Nepali, Hindi, Urdu and speaks basic Arabic.
