A Virtual to-the-Trade Showroom Opens Its Doors

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Oct. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- DesignTradeOnline.org, a new online showroom that provides the opportunity for the interiors community to design, specify and purchase products in a members-only website, opened its doors to designers, architects and contractors this week.

The virtual showroom brings together the ability for designers to view and specify products in rich detail, download multiple product images and to purchase the items at traditional designer discounts. Developed by well-known designer and author Michael A. Thomas, FASID, DesignTradeOnline.org features more than 250 products from accessories to art, tables to tiles and seating to lighting with additional items added each day.

While anyone can view the website, list and designer wholesale pricing and product procurement is provided to only those who can be verified as members of the design profession. "That way we keep the site exclusive for designers only," Thomas added.
