A2G Wins Gold For Small Agency of the Year: West at 2014 "Ad Age" Small Agency Awards
LOS ANGELES, July 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- A2G won the gold medal for Small Agency of the Year: West at the 2014 Ad Age Small Agency Awards in Austin on Thursday, July 24th.
Presented by Ad Age, the Small Agency Awards are the premier honors saluting outstanding work created by independent shops with 150 or fewer employees.
Founded in 2005 by banker turned chief creative officer Amy Cotteleer, A2G started in Los Angeles as an experiential marketing agency for clients Motorola and Gap. Since that time, A2G has evolved beyond its roots into a 20-person agency with social and digital capabilities, creating and producing award-winning campaigns for clients Nintendo, Samsung, Bare Escentuals, AOL, Progressive Insurance, Vera Bradley, and Old Navy among others.
The Gold for Small Agency of the Year: West follows a year filled with campaign work including Gap's Be Bright which made Gap's classic t-shirt the official concert tee at the hottest summer music festivals, Nintendo's Wii U Video Challenge which produced a record-breaking video collaboration that generated over 900 million earned media impressions, and Flo's Rockin' Rally for Progressive Insurance which engaged nearly a quarter million consumers at marquee motorcycle rallies across the country.
"This award is an accumulation of almost a decade of work for some of the best brands in the business," said Amy Cotteleer, founder and chief creative officer, A2G. "It is thrilling to be recognized and even more rewarding to share the honor with one of the most talented teams in the industry."
"We were pretty blown away by the incredible talent and powerful ideas coming out of the small agency community," said Abbey Klaassen, associate publisher - editorial and audience, Ad Age. "Their ambition and abilities make these kinds of firms highly attractive to clients seeking creative and agile partners -- and to potential acquirers."
The Small Agency Awards were launched six years ago to ensure that the groundbreaking campaigns and innovative brand ideas generated by smaller companies receive the recognition they deserve. The Awards were presented during the annual Ad Age Small Agency Conference, which brings together hundreds of marketing, advertising, design, media, and brand professionals from around the nation to explore trends and issues impacting the nation's small advertising agencies. The July 28 issue of Ad Age will feature a special section on the Small Agency Awards winners.
