ABC Supply Co. Inc. Honored with Fifth David Weekley Homes "Partners of Choice" Award

BELOIT, Wis., July 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- For the fifth time, building products supplier ABC Supply Co. Inc. has been honored with the prestigious "Partners of Choice" Award from David Weekley Homes, receiving an "A" rating in quality.  It is one of only 17 companies to receive the award this year.

ABC Supply is the largest wholesale distributor of roofing in the United States and one of the nation's largest distributors of siding, windows and other select exterior building products.  David Weekley Homes is the nation's third-largest for-profit, privately held home builder.

David Weekley Homes' innovative supplier evaluation system was established in 2004 and the first "Partners of Choice" Awards were presented in 2005.  The cornerstone of the evaluation process is the home builder's "National Trading Partner Survey," in which 150 suppliers are rated in quality and service by team members throughout the company.  Each quarter, 125 associates are surveyed, for an annual total of 500 reviews.  

This ranking process allows David Weekley Homes to make a side-by-side comparison and ranking of the various suppliers, spanning a diverse array of industries, with which it works.  Awards are presented to suppliers who maintain an "A" rating in quality or service, or in both categories (an "A, A" rating), for the previous 12 months.
