In the March 2010 report Talent Assessment Strategies, Aberdeen Group studied over 250 organizations actively using assessments, including 74 companies utilizing SHL solutions. Overall, Aberdeen's analysis showed that assessments act as a critical decision-making tool throughout the entire employee lifecycle by providing real data and measurements about an employee's behavioral, ethical, and cognitive makeup.

In examining the organizations using SHL solutions, Aberdeen found that companies using assessments in both pre- and post-hire talent decisions have experienced:

  • 12% increase in revenue and an 11% increase in profit per FTE
  • 47% greater improvement in hiring manager satisfaction
  • 15% greater performance in first year retention
  • 18% greater new-hire performance
