Accent Food Services Rallies Industry Partners to Donate to Harvey Victims
Over $50,000 Raised And Counting
PFLUGERVILLE, Texas, Oct. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Hurricane Harvey made landfall in our home state of Texas shortly after 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, just north of Port Aransas. The Category 4 storm was the strongest hurricane to hit the United States since 2005 and over four days it dumped over 50 inches of rain creating one of the worst flood disasters in history.
Accent Food Services wasted no time in coming to the aid of employees, customers and the people impacted by Harvey. Despite personal losses, our staff was quickly back to work. "Accent has the resources and the connections to immediately get food, water and more to those who needed it. We secured housing for our team members and care packages for our customers impacted by the flooding. We knew we had to do whatever it took to help," said Josh Rosenberg, Accent Food Services CEO.
Accent Food Services began collecting donations for hurricane relief through their branches and the Stamina Foundation which today total over $50,000. We also reached out to and coordinated the delivery of donations from industry partners like Turn Key Corrections, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, Company Kitchen, and Wallingford Coffee. We continue to work and partner with members of our industry, such as Company Kitchen, to provide meals and donations to those in need.
