Access Systems, Inc. Adds Department of State Veteran to Leadership Team

RESTON, Va., Jan. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Access Systems, Inc. (ACCESS), an information technology (IT) services provider headquartered in Reston, Va., today named Kirk W. Ingvoldstad as the director for its U.S. Department of State programs. He will oversee all IT and support services contracts ACCESS currently holds with the Department.

Ingvoldstad will also work with ACCESS management to pursue new State Department opportunities. He will report directly to Todd Sickles, vice president of ACCESS' criminal justice business unit.

Ingvoldstad joins ACCESS after serving 27 years at the State Department's Bureau of Information Resource Management. In his last role as division director of Desktop Support Services (DSS), he managed over 200 employees in five branch organizations, which maintained over 25,000 classified and unclassified desktops in 25 of the 34 Department of State bureaus. While at DSS, he used the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodology to help oversee change management and business processes. He brings to ACCESS vast international experience, which includes work in France, Yugoslavia, Burundi, Uruguay, Poland, Colombia, Hong Kong and Afghanistan.
