RESTON, Va., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Access Systems, Inc. (ACCESS), an information technology (IT) solutions provider headquartered in Reston, Va., announced today that it will open a new program management office in Sierra Vista, Ariz., that will serve as the hub for all of its Western Region U.S. operations. Based just outside Fort Huachuca, ACCESS will manage its entire current and future Department of Defense and civilian agency opportunities located in Colorado, California, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona out of this location.
The new office will house dedicated program managers, proposal development personnel, teaming partners and program control analysts. Engineers and technicians will collaborate to develop and deliver solutions and services out of this location for command and control systems, space and terrestrial communications networks and other systems engineering requirements. They will also work on information technology and information assurance support services. Additionally, work at the new location will spotlight emerging technologies centered on information security, network operations and data infrastructure and conferencing capabilities.
According to David E. Gardner, chief operating officer for ACCESS, the company has a number of efforts upcoming with the Army that require the focus and attention of local resources and infrastructure to be successful. He says given the investment in Sierra Vista, ACCESS will utilize the new office to expand its business with the Army and other agencies in Arizona, as well as neighboring states.

The new ACCESS office, located at 548 Fry Blvd in Sierra Vista, Ariz., is scheduled to open in October 2010 in time for several current and future Army opportunities at Fort Huachuca and other Western Region locations.
