Acclaimed Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Andrew Ordon of CBS' The Doctors to Serve as Host of Inaugural Aesthetic Awards in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, May 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Andrew Ordon, M.D., F.A.C.S., acclaimed plastic and reconstructive surgeon and star of CBS's The Doctors will serve as host and emcee at the inaugural Aesthetic Awards™, set to take place June 4 in Las Vegas. The awards ceremony, designed to honor the best in aesthetic medicine, is the centerpiece of THE Aesthetic Show™, a three-day convention that brings together top experts from all disciplines of the aesthetic medicine field.

In addition to his role on The Doctors, Dr. Ordon was formerly the host of Plastic Surgery Today and has appeared on Dr. Phil, Entertainment Tonight, 20/20, NBC Nightly News and ABC World News. He is the author of Revealing the New You: A Guide to Plastic Surgery and Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Plastic Surgery. Dr. Ordon earned his medical degree from USC School of Medicine and completed his General Surgery and Head and Neck Surgery training at USC, UCLA and Loma Linda University.

To become eligible for THE Aesthetic Awards, physicians from around the world are invited to submit their best work via an online application process. Their peers will select winners in a variety of categories prior to the ceremony including Best Facial Injectable Enhancement, Best Facial Rejuvenation Enhancements (surgical and non-surgical), Best Overall Facial Make-Over (combination of procedures), Best Body Shaping Enhancement (surgical and non-invasive), Best Overall Body Make-Over (combination of procedures) and Best Overall Patient Outcome. All categories, with the exception of Best Overall Patient Outcome, will be voted upon prior to the night of the ceremony by participants in THE Aesthetic Show™. Best Overall Patient Outcome will be decided the night of the event by an esteemed panel of experts. All winners will be announced by Dr. Ordon at the ceremony.
