Acendex Emerges From the Great Recession with No Layoffs, New Clients and a Bright Future
BEACHWOOD, Ohio, Feb. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- With Ohio being among the states hardest hit during the Great Recession—ranking, according to Moody's Analytics, 37th in employment growth from 2009 to 2011—Jonathan Husni, president of Acendex (www.acendex.com), an information technology services firm in Beachwood, feared that he might be forced to lay off some of his employees. However, through sacrifice, hard work and non-stop customer referrals, he was able to not only retain his six Microsoft-certified technicians but has recently hired two network administrators and is currently looking to take on more staff.
"My first concern was to keep my team together," said Husni." "We were able to do this because the word-of-mouth on Acendex is very positive and we bucked the trend by actually winning new business in the middle of a difficult economy."
Acendex's new clients, all located in Northeastern Ohio, are a diverse group of companies receiving a variety of computer networking services:
- For Zeisler Morgan Properties, Ltd., a shopping center development company based in Cleveland, Acendex is hosting their e-mail and installing new servers
- Similar work has also been done for RAV Financial Services in Beachwood
- Acendex has provided a new IT infrastructure with a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) system for Flack Steel, a steel distributor in Cleveland
- Other new customers include eSearch, a Cleveland recruiting firm, EMSCO, a company which manufactures and services electric furnaces used in the melting of metals, headquartered in Massillon and Elyria Manufacturing, a precision machining company
"We hear every day from companies recovering from the recession who are anxious to upgrade their IT systems," said Husni. "Now that there's been a turnaround in the economy, we are more optimistic than ever that 2011 will be a big year for Acendex."
