ACT Aspire College and Career Readiness System Launches
Assessments administered in over 250 K-12 School Districts
CORALVILLE, Iowa, April 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The first administration of the new ACT Aspire College and Career Readiness system took place this week in 33 states. The assessments provide educators and parents with student achievement data based on the ACT College and Career Readiness Standards ("CCRS") from grade 3 to H.S.
ACT Aspire is the first digital, longitudinal assessment system to fully connect student academic performance from elementary through high school, and to the ACT exam. Measurement against the CCRS and ACT College and Career Benchmarks will be able to accurately predict individual student trajectory toward achievement in reading, math, English, language arts, writing and science.
Approximately 66,000 students in grade 3 through 10 commenced testing using the ACT Aspire system yesterday. Although districts have the option of using paper and pencil or computer-based ACT Aspire assessments, the majority of students testing this week engaged with the computer-based version of ACT Aspire.
