ActionView International CEO Discusses Recent WCFC Event, Upcoming Shows

CORONA DEL MAR, Calif., July 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ActionView International, Inc., a sports entertainment company specializing in tournament-style mixed martial arts events, today released information about the recently held June 30th  WCFC Pierpont Street Bash.  Joe Wooten, Chief Executive Officer of ActionView, stated, "The recent Salt Lake City event was a great success with an enthusiastic crowd, perfect weather, and amazing fights.  From a technical standpoint, we were pleased that our live streaming technology again worked flawlessly.  We had decent pay-per-view numbers for a non-title event, and ticket and concession sales were strong which combined to make this a profitable event for the WCFC."

The second annual Pierpont Street Bash featured several amateur fights and two pro fights, with the Amateurs fighting for the right to face off in the semi-final round later this year.  Mr. Wooten added, "We like the concept of have a tournament style event for amateur fights since it gives them a lot of great, diverse experience leading up to an eventual pro career.  Too many amateurs look to turn pro early to get a quick payday.  We encourage fighters to get as much cage experience as possible first so that when they finally do turn pro, they can have a long and successful career making good money." Mr. Wooten also announced that a second live, outdoor Pierpont event will be held late this summer with a tentative date of September 29th.  "The Pierpont location is a great venue with an urban feel that works perfectly both for live spectators and on TV.  The Salt Lake crowds are always well educated on the sport and really come out to support their favorite fighters. We will have another round of 155lb. amateur fighters so that we complete the qualifying tournament bracket.  The winners from the September event will join with the June 30th winners in a four-fight semi-final round leading up to the 155 amateur championship later in the year.  We have also put together two great pro fights for the September event and will be announcing those fights shortly."
