SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ActiveCare, Inc. (ACAR.OB) a leader in senior care technology, today announced the strategic agreement with Health123 Management, LLC an insurance product developer that will utilize ActiveCare's service and products to monitor high risk employees.  "With this partnership Health123 will launch a new program monitoring the unhealthy employees who have high risk, chronic diseases," said Clay Shat, principal of Health123.

According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention 1 in every 2 adults in the United States has one or more chronic diseases.  This accounts for 75% of all healthcare costs.  "We are able to help members take a proactive approach in managing and controlling their chronic diseases," said Jim Dalton, chairman and CEO of ActiveCare.

This new program will focus on monitoring 13% of the workforce of both regional and national employer groups reducing lost time and high medical costs.  ActiveCare's service will focus on high risk employees tracking and compiling data on blood pressure, glucose levels, heart rate, blood oxygen, weight changes and other conditions on a regular basis, recording the data in ActiveCare's secure HIPAA compliant database.
