HILLSBOROUGH, N.C., May 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Adamandeve.com (http://www.adamandeve.com/news), America's most trusted source for adult products, is back with the latest findings in its sex survey results. This month, the company asked over 1,000 adults if they ask new partners if they've been tested for sexually transmitted diseases or infections before having sex for the first time.
While nearly half 49% of those polled said they always ask new partners if they've been tested, 30% of the respondents said they sometimes ask and a surprising 21% never ask.
"I'm happy to see that so many people are taking responsibility for their own sexual health," says adamandeve.com resident sexpert Dr. Kat Van Kirk. "This is a question that should be asked before every new sexual partner, no matter how awkward or uncomfortable it might seem. The more you make it a part of your repertoire, the easier it gets. Plus, it shows your partner you value them and yourself."
"Adam & Eve encourages healthy sexuality between consenting adults," says adamandeve.com Director of Marketing Chad Davis. "From condoms to romantic games to massage oils and more, Adam & Eve offers an array of sex positive products for every stage of relationship."
The web-based survey, conducted by an independent third party survey company, of over 1,000 American adults age 18 and up, was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study sexual preferences and practices. "Sex Chat with Dr. Kat" can be found on podcasts through iTunes or www.drkat.com. Her book, "The Married Sex Solution: A Realistic Guide to Saving Your Sex Life," can be found on Amazon.com.
