HILLSBOROUGH, N.C., Aug. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Adamandeve.com (http://www.adamandeve.com/news), America's most trusted source for adult products, is never shy when it comes to asking what really happens in the bedroom. This month, the company asked over 1,000 adults for details on cheating – specifically, how they met their cheating partners.
Not surprisingly, most (30%) of the respondents said they had met their lovers at work or were old friends (29%). Just over 9% said they met their lover while traveling, 7.7% said they met online, and 7% said they met at school. A shocking 16.5% said they met through "other" means, including at the gym, at a bar, at church, and at a wedding.
"Cheating is often a pitfall in relationships," says Dr. Kat Van Kirk, resident sexpert for adamandeve.com. "And along with cheating comes hurt feelings, suspicion and anger. With open communication, a healthy sex life and a little effort, I think most couples can avoid the temptation of cheating."
"Adam & Eve encourages couples to enjoy the benefits of a sex positive relationship," says adamandeve.com Director of Marketing Chad Davis. "Our goal is to keep couples together, and we feel that the use of erotic toys, games and novelties can help keep the spark alive."
The web-based survey, conducted by an independent third party survey company, of over 1,000 American adults age 18 and up, was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study sexual preferences and practices. "Sex Chat with Dr. Kat" can be found on podcasts through iTunes or www.drkat.com. Her new book, "The Married Sex Solution: A Realistic Guide to Saving Your Sex Life," can be found on Amazon.com.
